Our History

Presque Isle Hot tubs has been helping local customer create their "PLACE" for over 30 years.
Mark Miller founded the company in 1977 and in 1980 moved to the present location, 2546 West 26th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania.
Since then, our primary business focus has been hot tubs. From the beginning, we have been at the forefront of the hot tub industry evolution, bringing the most innovative products to our regional market. As the industry grew and changed we kept abreast of those changes. Furthermore, we educated regional consumers not only about our products but also the benefits of the hot tub experience.
In it’s infancy, the industry consisted of wooden barrel hot tubs. Over time, hot tubs were crafted of fiberglass, primarily custom built in-ground, and located indoors. During the late 1980’s hot tubs shifted from built-in types to portable models. Greater energy efficiency and equipment reliability enabled hot tubs to be located outdoors.
As the industry changed so did Presque Isle Hot Tubs. Over the years we built many custom hot tubs for both residential and commercial customers. We sold several different portable brands. Then in 1991, we became a dealer for Hot Spring Portable Spas ... the industry leader in the portable hot tub market. Today we exclusively sell the Hot Spring brand consisting of four product lines: Hot Spring, Tiger River, Solana and Hot Spot.
Today we continue to be committed to bringing our customers the highest quality, most popular, and easiest to own portable hot tub available on the market.
